The aroma is a mix of bread and chocolate, with hints of wood and vanilla.

Color: Dark brown.

The taste is characterized by mild smokiness, a lot of bitter chocolate, some coffee, plenty of pumpernickel, wood, a slight vanilla note, a bit of tongue-drying astringency, minimal bitterness, not very thick, and no sense of alcohol.

Carbonation: Moderate.

Seems to be inferior to the non-barrel-aged version; somehow, the elements didn’t come together as well.
